A Victorian bedroom that is only quarter scale (1:48) is housed in a small glass-fronted shadowbox. I have probably mixed the scale a little bit in here, in that the fireplace is half-scale, but it does create a grand room, befitting of that era’s style. I tried my hand at making a tiny-scale bed from a kit, and it actually turned out quite nice, albeit with some super glue stuck to my fingers. I purchased the other pieces of furniture from a Canadian company, and added jewelry findings and beads as accessories. You may also notice that there is a tiny cat sleeping in front of the fireplace. And there is spongeware bowl by Jane Graber, which is also not 1:48 scale, but it fits right into the scene.
Because of the way the shadowbox is constructed, I had to fasten a few of the pieces onto the front section and the rest on the back. The last photo in the gallery shows that.
