This little kitchen features 1:12 scale furnishings and accessories in an old 8-inch high and 6-inch wide wooden cigar box. However, not everything fit inside, so it spills out in front. I call it Red Kitchen because the many of the items are red or reddish toned. There are a number of artisan made miniatures in this scene, however I don’t know the names of all the artists. There is a pair of Mexican Talavera plates displayed on opposite side walls, and a cute teddy bear holding a tiny red plaid thermos bottle. The beautiful red cabinet on the right was made by IGMA artist Barbara Hill, there is a basket by Al Chandronnait, and the large crock in the front is by Little Wren Pottery. The little dry sink had doors that were falling off, so I added a red gingham skirt like one that might have been seen on farm-style sinks, and most of the pieces on top are from Kim Schrum.
