This tiny kitchen with half scale (1:24) furnishings is housed in a 6-inch by 6-inch by 2-1/4″ deep old wooden cigar box, minus its lid. I left it very rustic, with wooden walls and ceiling, but did add a piece of half-scale embossed brick paper for flooring. The time frame would probably be early 20th century, and due to the size, the kitchen is not complete – there is no stove. I bought the window unfinished and painted it – the lower pane actually opens.
There are a number of small scale artisan pieces in here that I was lucky enough to come by, including the fold-down table/settee, the small bench, the cabinet/hutch, the potato basket hanging on the wall, the tiny plant on the windowsill, as well as a few other accessories. There is a copper cowboy decorative plate on the wall, and a neat pottery butter churn.
