This room box is an imagined early American scenario of a country-style dining room, possibly around the early 1800’s. It is housed inside a small wooden wine bottle gift box that has a sliding lid, which you can see in the last photo in the gallery. Most of the furniture was handmade, although I don’t know all the artists’ names. Some of the china pieces were a set of hand painted porcelain and a few I decorated myself. There are also some pewter and silverplate items.
The round table on the left converts from a table to a settle bench, and is good for a small space. The dining table also folds down on the sides. The pie safe on the right could have been used for cakes and pies, or possibly to store linens and dishes.
