One of the smaller of my dollhouses, at only 16″ high and 14″ wide, I call it Mahogany House because almost all of the furniture is mahogany. One can only see three rooms, and they are not even full rooms because the house is only a few inches deep. The setting is the 1920’s, and the young woman who lives here is dressed in her Flapper style clothing. Her little niece is visiting and is making herself at home on the bed. The lady has a dressing table full of beauty products, and a lovely display of china, and she is just starting to add a few art-deco pieces.
Most of the china items were painted by me, decorating plain white pieces. I also made the perfumery from jewelry findings and beads. The large furniture pieces were commercially made and all fit beautifully in this petite house.
