This little diorama was inspired by real feral cats and kittens playing on a real ladder in front of our barn several years ago. I did embellish the scene somewhat, but the cats on the ladder were actually there on a daily basis.
The ladder came unfinished, and I painted and distressed it. Some of the cats were purchased already finished and some I painted myself and I crafted the cat tree. The bench and the washtubs were 3-D printed by my daughter, and then I painted them to look like wood and metal, and added the flowers. The kitty crock is not a 1:12 size piece, but it works great as a large “outdoor” crock, and was made by Tiny Wren Pottery.
