I originally put this together to be used with my German dollhouse at Christmastime, but I keep it on display separately, year-round. A number of the items are from Seiffen, in the Erzgebirge. Some of them I bought either there or from vendors in the US, and some were kits I purchased and then put together. There is also a porcelain Glühwein urn with two mugs from Reutter Porzellan and a tiny antique porcelain Santa figure from Thuringia. There are a few non-German pieces, and a special one is a handcrafted nutcracker from England. Everything is inside a small two-story “house” made out of an antique wooden cigar box.
