Pubs always tend to be cozy gathering spots, whether you want an ale or a tasty meal. I call this an English pub, mainly because the sailor sitting at the table is eating fish and chips, but it could really be anywhere on the British Isles, or even in the States. This particular establishment is called the Black Dog Pub, named in honor of the proprietor’s pet, a black and white English Springer Spaniel, who makes himself at home among the patrons. There is an old-fashioned stove to keep the chill out in the winter, and plenty of gaming items.
The container used for this display is an old wooden Drambuie crate from Scotland, that had been used by a Philadelphia importer, suitable for giving the pub a vintage look.
